Hearts of the Harvest

Welcome to another wonderfully uplifting St. Augustine Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) year. By now, you have had your meetings, set goals for your affiliations and connected with your pastors about their goals. Then we are off to do the business of making sure we meet everyone’s needs; to make sure we present enough spirituality, leadership and service. Our DCCW website is full of information. For our new affiliations, returning affiliations or just in case you need a reminder go to stadccw.com and click on every link.

Our theme this year is “Heart for the Harvest”.  One of our greatest blessings as DCCW members is that, combined with our churches, we have an opportunity to reach many people to produce good fruit.  Let us all stop and think – how open is my heart to God? Is my heart open only when it is convenient for me? Has God cultivated your heart so His word finds rich soil? God cultivates our hearts when we pray. When we read his word, we are given a blueprint of how to be fruitful in our lives. While we give thanks to God for the food and good things that He provides, let us not look at only wheat or grain or the stuff. Let us look at the hungry souls who may not know God or those who have strayed away and share with them why we have faith and how it has changed our lives. This year, let us challenge each other to extend our circle of influence and help others know Christ.

Always Your sister I Christ.

Blessing & hugs,

Your sister in Christ, Najwa
